About Me

I got my start with writing BASIC on a TRS-80 Color Computer 2 in 1985. Since then I have learned a few more languages, and have written professional software for sales and inventory systems, commercial flight simulators, and supernova simulations. I hold a Ph.D. in astrophysics from the University of Texas at Austin and a B.S. in physics from the University of Minnesota. My hobbies include playing volleyball, backpacking / camping / hiking, brewing beer, and making cheese.
